Down Time
General November 13th, 2008As some of you might have noticed, Tutorial Wow was down for most of this morning (November 13th). This is due to the fact that 1&1 - our current web hosting - was upgrading all of their websites to a new version of some software, and they hadn’t done mine yet. I called in, and they just let me know that my site would be back up in a few hours.
That is the first time 1&1 has ever been down (as long as I have been with them), and other than that, they have a great web hosting service. If you are looking for a host for your own website, then I would strongly suggest heading over to their website (1and1.com) and checking out their server specs. I don’t want this to sound like a sales pitch, but I’ll just tell you from my experience that 1&1 is a great service and I would highly reccomend them.
As you can see, the site is back up and running fine, which is really great. This should never happen again.

@anne: I believe your problem is that you are using your wordpress username and password. What you need to do is use your website’s FTP username and password. You can most likely find those on your web host’s website.

Josh, I have an HTML tutorial I’ve written…could I send it to you via email? That way the format will stay the same. My email is *email removed for privacy*. I may reply with a different email, but I’ll include my name so don’t worry.
